Adventure has always brought me a lot of satisfaction. I love exploring new places, trying new things, and putting myself in situations where I can learn from new experiences. One quote that has always stuck with me is from the movie Up: “Adventure is out there!” I think that idea really reflects how I try to approach life. Even when something feels uncertain or a little scary, I usually find that the experience is worth it.

One of the biggest adventures I’ve had was studying abroad in London, England. Living in another country for several months was exciting, because it gave me the chance to experience a different culture while still having the freedom to travel and explore.

During my time there, I took weekend trips to cities like Paris and Amsterdam. Those trips were among my favorite experiences because I got to see famous landmarks, try new foods, and explore cities that were completely different from what I was used to. There was always a little uncertainty involved in navigating airports, trains, and unfamiliar cities, but that was also part of what made it fun.
My experience with adventure is not limited to international travel. Moving from San Francisco to Austin, Texas, was another major change in my life. Leaving a city that I knew well and starting over somewhere new was intimidating at first, but it pushed me to adapt, meet new people, and become more independent. Looking back, I’m grateful I took that leap because it opened up opportunities and experiences I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Through both travel and moving to new places, I have learned that adventure is not always about having everything planned out. Sometimes it is about embracing uncertainty and being willing to see where a new experience takes you. Even when there is some fear involved, the memories, growth, and excitement that come from those experiences make it worthwhile!
